[Michael Malone] “I think this year unfortunately has just taken a really ugly, nasty turn in the MVP conversation, and I think it’s really turned a lot of people off, including him [Jokic]."
“I think this year unfortunately has just taken a really ugly, nasty turn in the MVP conversation, and I think it’s really turned a lot of people off, including him,” Malone said of Jokic. “And what’s happening now is there’s so many guys that could win the MVP this year — great candidates. Joel Embiid is a great candidate. Luka Doncic is a great candidate. Jayson Tatum — whoever you want to put in that mix, those are all deserving. But what happens in today’s society is that everybody — it’s like when I was a college coach — all the negative recruiting, it’s not promoting my guy, it’s ripping down every other guy. And that’s just ridiculous.
Do you agree with Malone now that the MVP conversation has gotten to the point of just ripping down other players ?

SGA averages more points, assists, steals, and blocks than Jayson Tatum, and is more efficient as well while being younger. Why is Tatum considered the more valuable young player? You could argue SGA is the better scorer, defender, and playmaker
SGA is also way more consistent, having only 3 games this entire season with less than 20 points. I’m not sure why there’s such a big gap in their reputations. SGA is arguably a better scorer, defender, and playmaker. SGA is even shooting better from 3

[@NBAOfficial] is rescinding Terance Mann's second technical foul in a game that was determined by 1 point
Terance Mann's (LAC) second technical foul (4:24, 2nd qtr) from the game on 3/21/23 has been rescinded upon league office review.
Pretty wild that they admitted to a mistake that could have changed the outcome of a very important game for both teams.

Dennis Schroder is leading the Lakers in PPG this season
Dennis Schroder is leading the Lakers in PPG this season at 12.7 points per game.
LeBron, AD etc haven't played enough games, so when this season is over, Dennis Schroder will go down in history books as leading the team at 12.7 PPG.

Kawhi Leonard is shooting 52/42/87 for the SEASON. Arguably his most efficient season ever
People almost called it a career for him due to his injuries piling up and the amount of games he has missed. There was a point where he didn’t play back-to-back games for 2 years I believe.
His 52/42/87 shooting splits while averaging 24/6/4 is the best shooting he’s had at once across the board. I would love for him to get his shot attempts up as he’s only shooting 16.7 a game — the 5th highest since he came into his own in 15/16.
He is a straight killer and I really wonder what makes him so efficient?
Don’t sleep on Kawhi
Edit: He is shooting 55/51/89 in his last 10 games averaging 29/6/7. WTF IS THIS DUDE!!!!!!

With the Cavs win tonight, the Miami Heat are now the #6 seed in the East
Ahead of their matchup on Saturday, both of these teams are in a dogfight to avoid the play-in. Not to mention the Knicks are only 2 up on the Heat for the 6 seed and 2.5 on the Nets right now. One of those teams is going to not make the top 6, should be a great finish.
